The Weave - Launch

New Game Launch

Welcome to the launch of the project that I will be focusing on the most for the forseeable future! This is The Weave, a stroy-rich, tactical combat game. In it, you will explore the lives of 4 main characters as they come into contact with some otherworldly presence and discover how it impact the world around them.

I'm so excited to finally be at the point where I can release the alpha of this project. You may have noticed the other projects on my page have been much smaller that The Weave. They were intended to help me learn more about the publishing process on Itch as well as teaching me a few new things about development along the way.

This project however is the largest and has many more updates to come. Right now, the alpha contains mostly story elements up to what I'm calling "Act 1". In it, you will be introduced to the main characters of the story and have some interaction with the core gameplay elements. That includes the narrative of course, but also the combat system and the overworld character development. All of these systems are functional but not nearly to the capacity that I have planned. Many of them still don't communicate with one another as they will in the future.

But I wanted to release the project in its early state so that I could get it out to the world and start to see what you all thought about it. I already have a lot planned for the game and will continue to work on it each day. As always, I'm open to hearing any and all feedback you may have for me. This build will likely have some bugs and typos in it though I did try to clear them all out before launching. Let me know what you find along the way and I'll start cleaning them up!
